Please note:
Due to the recent high level of applications received, the current allocation of grant funding is now oversubscribed.
As a result, should you still wish to submit an application, we will continue to accept them, and subject to passing the eligibility criteria, they will be placed on a reserve list to be further considered should more funding become available in the near future. There is no guarantee that being placed on the reserve list will result in funding being approved.

Eligibility
Grants are available between £10,000 and £150,000 and 30% of the total project cost, dependant on your application and strength of the project.
To be eligible for Green Shoots Plus funding, you must:
- Be an SME operating in Dudley, Herefordshire, Sandwell, Shropshire, South Staffordshire, Stafford, Telford and Wrekin, Walsall and Wolverhampton.
- Must be able to create or safeguard jobs as a result of investment.
- Have been declined by your bank for the required funding.
- Not have received more than 200,000 Euros in public funding over the last three years.
- Have been operating for at least three years. Those which fall outside of this scope will be considered on a case by case basis.
- Be proposing to carry out a capital project, which can be completed by January 2017
- Guarantee that any new asset is used exclusively by your company
- Ensure that the investment is maintained in the region for three years after the project’s completion
Businesses from the following sectors are eligible to apply:
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Building Technologies
- Transport Technologies, including Aerospace
- Environmental Technologies
- Business to Business Services (e.g. Accountancy, Design & Print Services, Electrical Services, Advertising/Marketing Services)
The following are ineligible for investment:
- The Retail Sector
- Undertakings in difficulty
- Export Aid
- Fishery and aquaculture
- Primary production of agricultural products
- Processing and marketing of agricultural products
- The Coal Sector
- Transport Vehicles & Equipment (moveable assets)
- Hospital or Medical Services and Residential Care
- The Defence Sector
- Schools or Colleges
- Manufacture of Tobacco Related Products
- Research and Development
- Local Services providing business within the Black Country only
- Tourism, Hotels & Leisure Facilities
- Passenger Transport
- Warehousing
- Education and training
- Public Sector
- Infrastructure
- Voluntary / Community / Social Enterprise
- Franchise Operations
- Energy Generation
- Property Development and Investment
- Routine Investment
- Upgrading of capital items with a short life span
- Development or building of prototypes
We aim to get projects from Expression of Interest stage to awarding of the grant within 3 – 4 months.
